THE BRIEF
Porter’s is a Texas BBQ spot in Grabs, Switzerland, known for pulled pork and ribs. They mix true Texas low and slow smoking with Swiss flavors and have built a strong reputation in the area. Their original logo did not match the quality of their food or the experience they were offering. Travis Porter, the owner and pitmaster, reached out for a refreshed identity that felt stronger and more memorable. He wanted a design that pulled from both Texas and Switzerland and blended those elements into one cohesive mark.
THE SOLUTION
Travis and I worked through three clear directions before landing on the final identity. A big part of the brand was Travis himself. His face, personality, and presence showed up in almost every piece of content the restaurant put out. It made sense to bring that into the identity. We built a mascot around him that could work alongside the primary logo or stand on its own, giving the brand more character and flexibility.
